Rick Sanfratello has over 15 years of experience advising enterprise clients on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business valuation, and financial advisory matters, including shareholder disputes, estate tax planning, and litigation support. His expertise comes from leadership roles at multinational “Big Four” firms, national financial advisory consultancies, Fortune 100 corporations, and privately held businesses.
Currently, Mr. Sanfratello leads strategic business development at Corporate Valuation Advisors, Inc. (CVA), a full-service valuation and financial advisory firm with offices in Wisconsin, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Naples. CVA specializes in business enterprise valuation, tangible and intangible asset appraisal, and property tax appeal services.
Previously, he held key roles at Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc., where he managed financial analysis and valuation engagements, and Capital Works LLC, an M&A advisory firm he founded in the Chicago market. At Capital Works, he led business valuation and M&A advisory services, including the buyout of a closely held company and the valuation of intangible assets for a private equity acquisition.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Sanfratello served as a financial advisory manager at Deloitte, overseeing business valuation and financial reporting projects across various industries. He also managed valuation teams at Marshall & Stevens Incorporated, advised public clients at AT&T Mobility, and provided M&A brokerage services at Gottesman Company. Before transitioning into financial advisory, he successfully launched and operated a multi-line Allstate Insurance Agency.
Mr. Sanfratello holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University. He also maintains Series 6 and Series 63 Securities licenses.
