Bio
Michael Loy is the Managing Director of Geared Equity. Mr. Loy has over a decade of business, governmental, and leadership experience including a 5-year tenure as CEO for a health care organization with over $90M in revenues. Since joining Geared Equity in 2021, Mr. Loy has led the private investment of $100M in real estate acquisition and development, and the recent acquisition of Wisconsin Built, Inc., a casework, fixture, and millwork manufacturer.
In 2023, Mr. Loy Co-Founded Geared Capital, a firm that provides subordinated debt and junior capital to private equity firms, independent sponsors, family offices, and management teams.
Mr. Loy’s highest degree is an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Madison. In addition, Mr. Loy serves on numerous non-profit and professional organization boards.
